John Schumacher has been selected as President and CEO of American Federal Bank.

Schumacher joined American Federal in 2012 and has served as President of American Federal for the past year. He also previously spent several years as Market President of American Federal in Grand Forks. Schumacher grew up on his family’s farm near Reynolds, ND. 

He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration and a Master of Business Administration from the University of North Dakota. 

Previous CEO Dean McCleary, who is retiring after 22 years with American Federal, will continue serving on the American Federal Board of Directors.
