Through the efforts of American Federal employees in Fargo-Moorhead and Wahpeton, 65 children will have a brighter holiday season.

With the leadership of the Home Office Client Services Department, employees made homemade goodies for a bake sale, donated cash to wear jeans on a Friday, and contributed funds to purchase and wrap gifts for the “Toys for Tots” program.

FirstLink in Fargo coordinates a Giving Tree of Hope program each year in partnership with Toys for Tots in Cass and Clay Counties. For the past 45 years, volunteers have collected toys to sponsor children as well as adults with special needs who would otherwise not receive a gift during the holiday season.

Wrapped packages, purchased with the fund-raising dollars, overflowed from under a holiday tree into the entry outside the elevators at Home Office in Fargo as Client Services Department employees readied the gifts for delivery to Toys for Tots.  From left in the photo are Operations Specialist Becky Klein, Loan Processor Tiffany Ness and Operations Analysts Angela Armstrong and Tyler Vastag.   Employees sponsored 36 children in 2016 and 48 in 2017.
