Jeff Topp Named to Board of Directors

Jeff Topp, Grace City, North Dakota, has been named to the American Federal Board of Directors.

Topp is a partner in a family-owned farming enterprise that grows a variety of crops.  The farm operates acres in Eddy, Foster, McLean and Stutsman Counties in North Dakota and runs a cow-calf operation. Topp manages the family-owned grain elevator that specializes in supplying flax to the dairy industry from North Dakota to Texas.

Topp was born and raised on his family farm.  He has distinguished himself through his commitment and service to agriculture locally, in the state of North Dakota and nationwide.  He is well known in farming circles throughout the Midwest and is active in several ag-related organizations and foundation boards.

Topp serves as a Trustee on the North Dakota Future Farmers of America Foundation Board and the National FarmHouse Foundation Board.  Topp was a member of the FarmHouse fraternity when he attended North Dakota State University in Fargo.  He is Chairman of the North Dakota Minor Use Pesticides Fund of the North Dakota Department of Agriculture and a Board Member of the Moving Forward Advisory Council, a 24-farm peer group representing several states.

He was named a U.S. Jaycees’ National Outstanding Young Farmer and served on the Board of the Dakota Growers Pasta Company.

Topp works alongside his spouse, Jan, and sons, Jason and Justin, who are involved in the farm operation.  Daughter, Jessie, is a graduate student at Kansas State University in Manhattan.

“We are pleased to have Jeff join the American Federal Board of Directors,” according to Board Chairman and CEO Steve Worwa.  “Jeff brings a strong blend of experience in agriculture and business knowledge to the organization.”
