Customers can tie their American Federal-issued Visa® card to their mobile device.
With Mobile Wallet, you can carry your credit card or debit card information securely on your mobile device. No need to search for a plastic card when making purchases. With Mobile Wallet, customers can pay using their smartphone, tablet or smartwatch.
Mobile Wallet works at merchants that display the universal contactless acceptance symbol, shown above. Customers simply unlock their device and hold their smartphone or smartwatch close to the card reader of participating merchants to pay. Payment information will display on the device.
Mobile Wallet provides a fast, convenient and secure way to pay, whether you are at the grocery store, coffee shop, florist, department store or any other merchant that offers universal contactless credit card terminals.
There is no card information stored on your device or shared when you pay. Cashiers never see your name, card numbers or security code. Your purchase is protected. That means you won’t be held responsible if you promptly report any unauthorized transactions.
Any purchases made with Mobile Wallet appear on the bank or credit card statement tied to the card you use. Credit and debit cards are protected by verification checks and fraud detection systems that proactively monitor activity and use real-time transaction blocking when unauthorized payments are suspected
Set up for Mobile Wallet is easy using Apple Pay®, Android PayTM or Samsung Pay on your mobile device.
Depending on which mobile device is used, systems use a unique device account number and transaction-specific security code to process any payment. With some devices, your card receives a virtual card number to process the payment.
