Bill Anderson, American Federal Bank Market President in Crookston, has been selected to attend the Graduate School of Banking at Colorado (GSBC). He will begin the school’s three-year program in July.
The GSBC is a rigorous three-year program built around executive-level courses which are based on the concepts of community banking. Students are required to complete classroom coursework in Boulder for two-week sessions each July for three consecutive years along with intersession projects related to their coursework.
Anderson has 25 years of experience in agriculture and banking. He joined American Federal in 2003 as an Ag and Business Banker at the Bank’s Hallock Sales Office. In 2011, he transferred to the Crookston Sales Office and was named Market President in 2012.
Anderson also worked as an Inspector with the North Dakota State Seed Department in Grafton, ND and he owned and operated a farm near Hoople, ND.
Anderson is a graduate of the University of Minnesota, Crookston, where he earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Agricultural Industries Sales and Management. He also attended the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks.
He is active on several community boards, including the Polk County Developmental Achievement Center and Crookston Area Community Fund.
Anderson and his spouse, Holly, who is a Marketing Specialist at Riverview Health in Crookston, coordinate Crookston’s Special Olympics Program and were named the 2012 PolkCounty Emerging Leaders.
