R. Jon Swenson has been named Ag and Business Banker at American Federal Bank in Hallock.
Swenson brings 26 years of ag and financial services experience to American Federal. He began his career as a Financial Services Officer with Farm Credit Services (FCS) of Grand Forks at FCS in Warren. Later, he joined AgCounty in Hallock as a Senior Business Analyst and was promoted to Senior Loan Officer and Branch Manager.

Swenson started his career in financial services as a Farm Loan Officer with the Fargo Service Agency in 1990, serving clients in Brainerd, McIntosh, Crookston and Roseau in Minnesota.
He is a graduate of North Dakota State University, Fargo, where he earned a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Agricultural Economics.
Swenson lives on the farm near Lake Bronson, Minnesota, where he was born, raised and farmed with his parents. He is a township supervisor and coordinates youth sports.
