Crookston Ag & Business Banker Recognized

Crookston Ag and Business Banker William Anderson and his spouse, Holly Anderson, are being recognized for their commitment to leadership and to their community at the Agassiz Leaders Awards Banquet on Saturday, March 31 at the University of Minnesota Crookston. They will be among individuals from 15 other counties in northwestern and west central Minnesota recognized for their involvement.

William and Holly are West Polk County’s representatives in the Red River Valley Emerging Leadership Program. They have been taking part in educational sessions along with other rural leaders. This is the 28th year the Emerging Leadership Program of the University of Minnesota Extension and Northwest Minnesota Foundation has brought together individuals from across the region for recognition and training seminars. There are more than 900 leaders in northwest and west central Minnesota who are alumni of the program, which grew out of the King Agassiz Program of the Red River Valley Winters Shows developed in 1985.

William joined American Federal as an Ag and Business Banker in 2003 at the bank’s Hallock, Minnesota sales office. In 2011, he transferred to the Crookston banking location. He is a Financial Advisor with American Federal Investments. His professional credentials include Securities Registrations (7, 66)* and INVEST Advisor Representative.

William has 22 years of experience in banking and agriculture. He also worked as an Inspector with the North Dakota State Seed Department in Grafton, North Dakota and owned and operated a farm near Hoople, North Dakota.

William is a graduate of the University of Minnesota Crookston, where he earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Agricultural Industries Sales and Management.

William and Holly have been active in the Crookston and Hallock communities.

Holly is the Director of Emergency Management – Environmental Services and Zoning for Kittson County, Minnesota. The Andersons have two sons, Jack and Thomas.
